- Nissan began taking orders on Thursday for the 2012 Leaf in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York.
- The first Leaf deliveries to those states are slated to begin in December.
- By the end of the year, Nissan also plans to begin taking Leaf orders in Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
The 2012 Leaf is essentially a carryover model, with equipment upgrades
Stickers start at $36,050 for the base 2012 Nissan Leaf SV, while the uplevel Leaf SL is priced from $38,100.
The higher prices on the 2012 model reflect added standard equipment, including quick charging, battery warmer, heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seats.
