Lamborghini has unveiled "the most extreme Gallardo ever" — the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale
The new range-topper will be built in a limited run of 150 numbered units. It is based on the Gallardo racecar developed for Lamborghini's Blancpain Super Trofeo single-make racing series, borrowing such lightweight features as a carbon-fiber quick-release engine cover and rear spoiler.
The Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale has a 5.2-liter V10 rated at 562 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. With power delivered to all four wheels through a six-speed e-gearbox with paddle shifters, the car rockets from rest to 60 in less than 3.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 199 mph.
The Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale rides on Pirelli P Zero Corsa performance tires — 235/35ZR19 in front and 295/30ZR19 in the rear. The 19-inch forged alloy wheels are painted gloss black.
For maximum stopping power, the car sports oversize vented disc brakes, with eight pots in front and four in the rear. Carbon-ceramic brakes are available as an extra-cost option.
Lamborghini has trimmed the cockpit in red and black Alcantara, with carbon-fiber accents on the doors, seats and center console.
Optional gear includes goodies for the weekend racer, including a tubular roll cage, four-point belts and a fire extinguisher.
